Coman Leonard, CPA, Managing Partner

Coman Leonard has over 20 years of experience in South Florida and Tallahassee in corporate accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant, having received his degree from the University of Florida. His experience ranges from auditor to public accounting providing a broad range of perspectives. He is closely familiar with federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses as well as with tax issues on a federal, state, and local levels for individuals and businesses, which vary for clients and require an individualized response. He provides management advisory services for small businesses and corporations in accounting and operational aspects, including, accounting processes, human resources, information technology, enterprise zone issues, and succession planning.

Barbara Sheehan Withers, CPA, Partner

Barbara Withers has over 30 years of experience in Tallahassee as a Certified Public Accountant and received her degree in Accounting from Florida State University. She has extensive knowledge of Federal and State tax returns for individuals, trusts, and businesses. She also has experience with financial statements, tax planning, and consultations, as well as having been an expert witness before various courts, and administrative hearings. Barbara has developed lasting relationships with clients in the community and has held a variety of prior work experiences which add to her expertise. She is a member of: American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Women’s Society of Certified Public Accountants, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and is on various professional committees.

Scott Hutter, Staff Accountant

Scott Hutter is a staff accountant, having received his bachelors degree from Florida State University. He has over 15 years of experience in the accounting field. He has expertise with the preparation of individual and business returns, including corporations, partnerships and non-profit entities. He also has extensive experience in preparing financial statement compilations, payroll tax returns and sales tax returns. He has also served as controller at a large company and has performed in-depth audits of government contracts.

Lea Whitton Coates, Staff Accountant

Lea Whitton Coates, a native Tallahassean, received her B.S. from Florida State University in 1989. After moving away and starting a family, she returned to her home town in 2004. She has been a member of our family since 2006; is both knowledgeable on individual tax law, and dedicated to each of our clients and their individual needs.
